"Art is Life" Article in New Mexico Magazine
I got a nice surprise for Valentine’s day this year: I was featured in the March issue of New Mexico Magazine in an article on the healing power of art. “Art is Life” by Wolf Schneider covers several New Mexican artists who have each experienced the healing force of art in their lives. The article begins with my journey with colon cancer and reviews how the making of my mixed-media assemblage angels came to be part of my healing process. It continues with the healing experiences of artists Helen Gwinn, Marlene Zander Gutierrez, Mary Carroll Nelson, Pauline Eaton, and others.
